May 25, 2023: With the 2023 legislative session coming to a close on May 29, there is still no movement on a final push for legal TX sports gambling.It will take a constitutional amendment for any meaningful change to materialize. Most legalization initiatives fall through almost as soon as they are proposed. As we mentioned, gambling is currently illegal in Texas.
